HEADLINES OLD AND NEW

Godlessness abounds.  Decadence runs rampant.  Yesterdays Bible stories\or today’s headlines?  Yes.

We are no longer able to trust those we once thought we could; those relied upon to keep us safe—to educate us—to pass our nations laws,  Republican, Democrat, or Independent, they have all failed and fallen short.  Integrity is as a highly guarded museum artifact that longs to escape its prison-- that it might affect those that see it as more than just window dressing.  Sometimes even members of the bench fill us with dismay, and sometimes, they fill us with awe.

Take Judge Judy (Judith) Sheindlin for example, with her book title that says it best:  Dont Pee on My Leg and Tell Me Its Raining/

Well theres an awful lot of pee going around these days, and it needs to be diluted by a different kind of rain—the reign of God.\

We can have peace in knowing that God does not ignore the things of this world that stress us out—He will take vengeance upon them in due time.  Psalm 12 verses. 2-4 speak to the cosmetic surgery” He will do on those that flee His love and instead pursue those that are the focus of His affections.    He will protect His own.

Psalm 12--NKJV
To the Chief Musician. On an eight-stringed harp.[a] A Psalm of David.
 1 Help, LORD, for the godly man ceases!
         For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.
 2 They speak idly everyone with his neighbor;
         With flattering lips and a double heart they speak.

 3 May the LORD cut off all flattering lips,
         And the tongue that speaks proud things,
 4 Who have said,
         “With our tongue we will prevail;
         Our lips are our own;
         Who is lord over us?”

 5 “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy,
         Now I will arise,” says the LORD;
         “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”

 6 The words of the LORD are pure words,
         Like silver tried in a furnace of earth,
         Purified seven times.
 7 You shall keep them, O LORD,
         You shall preserve them from this generation forever.

 8 The wicked prowl on every side,
         When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
